Hi,

I'm Jason Swanson - Welcome to my site. I'm a guitarist & vocalist from Tulsa, OK, and I love creating, performing & teaching music however I can. Currently I spend my time playing concerts, events, & church services in addition to creating new music and teaching.

I receive great joy from creating something new - or at least new to me. I am always looking to learn, create or discover something I hadn't known before, and I want this website to be a place where I can help & inspire others to catch the same bug.

My goal is to not only share my music, but to provide a place that is helpful to musicians. You will find tutorials, gear comparisons, and overall music-business advice from a full time musician.

My Story

Originally from Oklahoma City, OK, I was born into a family that loved music & encouraged me to follow my passion. Well, at a young age, it seemed that I was pretty hooked on music, though I wasn't yet that excited about practicing piano.

In jr. high & throughout high school I became increasingly intrigued by Fingerstyle Guitar, and began composing my own songs and arrangements. In 2009 I began studying Music Technology at Oral Roberts University and was given opportunities to play in front of the student body as well as Television audiences. Whenever I was asked to play a solo, this pushed me to arrange & write songs that eventually became part of my depute album "Escape".

In August 2011 I announced the release of Escape at ORU by performing a new arrangement of Amazing Grace & Coldplay's Viva La Vida played on two guitars at the same time. In part because of this, I was asked to open for my ultimate guitar hero Tommy Emmanuel. Since then, playing two guitars at once has been an increasingly important aspect of my music.

Since graduating from Oral Roberts University in Dec 2011, I have played countless concerts, weddings, and other events as a full time job. In May 2013, I married the love of my life, Shelby, and now I can't imagine life any other way.

In November, 2013, I put my Music Technology degree to full use and entirely self produced my Christmas Album "Perfect Light". With the help of the studios at Oral Roberts University and wonderful resources from Pensadosplace.tv I was able to release a solo guitar album with the highest level of sound quality.

Since then I have been creating new music for myself and others, as well as continuing to perform on a regular basis.
